I know a few of you have been asking what happened to the podcast? Where ya stranded on an island?

Well, to put it bluntly, life happened. Big changes in my “day job” mixed with my decision to make a “switch” in platforms then a misguided purchased of “vintage” exotica music left me with many frustrations and little time. Lawrence Welk doing hawaiin favorites just doesn’t constute good exotica in my opinion

Well that’s about it. Enjoy the podcasts!

Well we’re back, sort of, it’s been a real challenge building the catalog and switching platforms. But here we are podcast number four. I want send out a huge thanks to all of you for your support, and keeping on me to get another show out. Without all of you, this wouldn’t happen.

Because of changes in my day job, and developments in the freelancing area, I’ll have to cut this back to quarterly, So see you late December early January.

Well we finally kick-off Astro Bachelor Pad with Tikiyaki Orchestra’s Mai Tais On The Moon. Tikiyaki Orchestra’s eagerly anticipated debut CD should be out later this summer. While on vacation recently I had the pleasure of chatting with “Bartender Bill” at the Royal Lahaina, also huge exotica fan, Bill tells me the Don the Beachcomber is probably coming down soon; so if you’ve had thoughts of flying to Maui to say goodbye to an old legend, you should do it soon. On a programming note Radio Bamboo is going offline for a couple of months while we get more music, re-tool and hopefully improve the podcast so stay-tuned.

Aloha all, just a quick apology for absence, as luck has it, I’m currently vacationing on my favorite south-pacific island and completely forgot to post podcast number 3: Astro Bachelor Pad.

In celebration of Robert Drasnin completing the in-studio recording of Voodoo 2 we start tonight’s podcast from the bungalow with Voodoo off the 1960 Drasnin release of the same name. Rumor has it; Voodoo 2 will be released sometime in May.
